Jason and Garry Rendall, originally from Kirkwall, Orkney, took over the lease for the local butcher shop in Alva in June 2010 and have quickly received a reputation for the excellence of the pies they cook and sell in their shop.Both boys started their career in meat at Orkney Meat (which was renowned for it`s Orkney Gold range) then moved to work with one of the local butchers. Jason moved south and spent some time working with another Butchers in Dunblane. He then did a short stint working in a butcher in Falkirk prior to opening his own shop in Raploch in 2009.He then took over the lease of the shop in Alva in 2010. Due to the downturn in the economy Jason decided to concentrate on the shop in Alva and the hard work of Jason, Garry and their staff has paid off as can be seen with them winning over 15 awards to date. Many customers used to come into the shop just to hear the boys speak as they loved to hear the very distinct Orkney accent.
